Luiza Caltabiano

WHO AM I 

 

Hi, my name is Luiza Caltabiano and I am from São Paulo, Brasil. I spent my childhood there and moved to South Florida in middle school. My passion for art began when I first moved to my current school, because of the great classes and teachers I have been able to work with. I have taken Visual Concepts, Drawing I, Drawing II, Figure Drawing I, Painting I, and am currently preparing to take Honors Portfolio. The most enriching experience as an artist so far has been the summer I spent in New York City taking art classes at Columbia University. There I worked with live models, en plein air, and also got to visit and sketch at some of the greatest museums.

As an artist, I hope to inspire others with my work and express my creativity. I especially enjoy painting and drawing portraits. I hope to one day be able to use art in a theurapeutic way to help others feel better through expressing themselves artistically.
